Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan Thursday asked the probationary officers selected by the first limited competitive examination organized by the Jharkhand Police Service Commission to visit fields and understand ground realities to offer better service to people. He was interacting with them at the Raj Bhavan on Thursday. “People have high expectations from you. You have to go to the area and get information on ground reality. With your such efforts, people will be able to get their due benefits,” the governor said.
He informed the probationary officers that he visited 16 districts by road in a short span and also explained how his visit helped in bringing changes in the life of common people. Governor, principal secretary Nitin Kulkarni, Sri Krishna Institute of Public Administration (SKIPA) director Mukesh Kumar and other SKIPA officers were present during the interaction. “ One can get information of the ground reality by visiting by road. By visiting one get information about the reality of the execution of various schemes of the Central Government and the State Government”
“In the past days, during the tour of Latehar, Palamu and Garhwa districts, after meeting PVTG, an initiative was taken to resolve their problems after meeting them. To solve the water problem in Palamu district, a meeting was held with the officials of the Irrigation Department there and instructions were also given to take initiative towards completing the pending projects,” he added. He further said: “The problems of the people or any location cannot be resolved by sitting at home. It is expected that after posting , you will work in the direction of solving the problems after understanding the ground realities of the area and people”.
