Jharkhand Andolankaris’ kin to get 5 per cent reservation in govt jobs

Ranchi: State Cabinet meeting was held in Project Building on Friday was presided over by CM Hemant Soren gave approval for the 23 proposals. Among the proposals that have been approved , it has been decided to give five percent horizontal reservation in vacancies to the dependents of Jharkhand Andolankaris.

One dependent of each agitator will get the benefit of five percent horizontal reservation in class III and IV appointments of the state government. The agitating family will get this benefit only once. For this, the Reservation in Vacancies of Posts and Services (For Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes) Act, 2001 has been amended.

Apart from this, the state government will construct Road Over Bridge (ROB) between Ketari Bagan Namkum and Ranchi station. ROB construction will cost Rs 44.80 crore. At the same time, amendments have been made in the Rules-2021 of Jharkhand Combined Civil Service Examination. Jamshedpur will become an industrial township. The proposal related to this has been approved by the cabinet.
