Ranchi: A Jharkhand Armed Police (JAP-2) constable was found dead at the displaced persons’ quarters in Kutte, Ranchi, on Thursday morning. The body of the constable, identified as Shiv Poojan Rajwar, a resident of Petarwar in Bokaro district, was discovered hanging from the ceiling of his room.
Local police reached the spot soon after receiving information and sent the body for post-mortem. Investigators said the reason behind the apparent suicide remains unclear. Statements from colleagues and family members are being recorded to determine what led him to take the step.
