Indian team announced for Hockey Olympic Qualifier, four players from Jharkhand got place

Ranchi: Hockey India has announced the Indian team for the FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifier to be held in Ranchi from 13 to 19 January 2024.

Four players from Jharkhand have got a place in the Indian team.

These include the names of Nikki Pradhan, Salima Tete, Sangeeta and Beauty.

All the matches will be played at Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Astroturf Hockey Stadium, Morhabadi, Ranchi.

Teams from 8 countries will participate in this competition along with host India.

These include teams from India, Italy, Chile, Japan, Czech Republic, Germany, New Zealand and the United States of America.

8 teams have been divided into two groups.

Group A contains Germany, Chile, Japan and Czech Republic. New Zealand, Italy, India and the United States have been kept in Group B.

India’s first match will be played against the United States on January 13 at 7:30 pm.

13 January – India vs USA – 7:30 pm

14 January – India vs New Zealand – 7:30 pm

16 January – India vs Italy – 7:30 pm
