Ranchi: Indian Head of Mission (HoMs) High Commissioner to the Republic of Rwanda Oscar Kerketta and Ambassador of India to the Republic of Mali Anjani Kumar visited Jharkhand. Both Head of Mission (HoMs) met Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh and discussed the collaboration in the investment and export potential of the state.
A high-level meeting was organized on this occasion under the chairmanship of the chief secretary, Jharkhand wherein the potential of Jharkhand and the business opportunities of the state were highlighted to both HoMs through power-point presentations and videos.
Department of Industries, Jharcraft, Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society, Department of Mines & Geology, Department of Agriculture and Department of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Sports & Youth Affairs, etc presented their departmental activities and strengths to the HoMs.
Department of industries showcased the sound policy environment conducive to the investment and availability of resources. HoMs appreciated the effort being put forth by the Department of Rural Development through their initiative Palash. It was highlighted Jharkhand has a robust industrial ecosystem and is a leader in mining and aspires to explore other industrial sectors through policy intervention is working very aggressively towards promoting rural livelihood and thereby ensuring an increase in the economic strength of the people at the grassroots.
Both HoMs shared the business opportunities available in their countries of deputation and emphasise the need to work in tandem which will contribute to the export potential of Jharkhand.
Both HoMs have also visited industrial areas in Kulhi in Ranchi district today and visited some of the top apparels manufacturing units such as Kishor Exports, Ganpati Creations, Valencia Apparels and Waistband Garments Pvt Ltd to understand the textile export potential from Jharkhand.
Both HoMs have also been called on Governor of Jharkhand and Chief Minister of Jharkhand to foster the trade and economic relationship with the countries of their deputation.
