HC seeks reply from state on regularisation of para teachers

Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court repeated its direction given to the state government in the matter related to the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualified para teachers of Jharkhand state.

According to the direction, the government is expected to give a reply on two points. First, why payment of para teachers should be equal to the payment given to regular assistant teachers and second, why the services of para teachers working for a long time are not regularized?

The direction was repeated after the state government did not file a reply on the points till date. The next date of hearing in the case has been fixed on November 29.

The development took place after 111 petitions including the petition of Sunil Kumar Yadav and others were filed in the High Court in the matter of salary and regularization of para teachers as assistant teachers. It has been said in the petition that he has been working as a para-teacher for more than 15 years.
