Ranchi: CCL Inter Area Badminton and Table Tennis Tournament was started at Thakur Vishwanath Shahdeo Indoor Stadium, Khelgaon Ranchi, inaugurated by Head of Department Welfare, CCL, Rekha Pandey.
During this competition, the personnel working in CCL will showcase their sporting talent in Open Singles, Open Doubles, Team Championship, Veteran Singles, Veteran Doubles competition.
The three-day competition is being organized from 14th to 16th November in which men and women players from all regions including CCL Headquarters are participating.
Inaugural match, badminton competition in men’s category was played between Kathara and Hazaribagh in which Kathara won by 2.0 over Hazaribagh.
While CRS Barkakana won 2-0 over MRS Ramgarh.
CCL HQ beat B&K 2-0.
Similarly, in the open singles women’s category, Malati Devi defeated Kamalika Hembram 21-6, 21-3, Sanyami Nidhi defeated Deepa Shikha 21-1, 21-2, Kumari Meena Munda defeated Renuka Sharma 21-12, 8. -21, 21-10, Nisha Ranjan beats Smita Panna 21-7, 21-8
On this occasion, Keya Mukherjee Chief Manager, Welfare, Adil Hussain, Manager, Sports, Aviraj Shekhar, Manager, Welfare and Ashish Cyril Kachhap, Deputy Manager, Welfare were present.
