Dumka: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that in democracy everyone has right to contest elections and advocated the need to form a joint plan to stop the BJP.
Addressing a press conference at his residence here he said that on previous occasion also TMC had fielded candidates in Jharkhand elections and even fielded candidates on seats from where JMM had fielded its candidates but his party had not made many objections. The comments were made by the Chief Minister when he was asked to comment over the recent statements made by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee in which she had objected to Hemant Soren addressing a rally in Jhargram.
The Chief Minister further said that Mamta Didi has similar ideology to the JMM and said that the manner in which BJP is playing politics in West Bengal there was a need to come up with a joint strategy to stop the BJP. He said that JMM was keenly watching the happenings in West Bengal and will take a correct decision at the right time.
The Chief Minister said that in its internal survey the party has identified 60-65 seats therefore his party has decided to filed candidates on seats which are in the adjoining districts. When asked whether his party was open for an alliance with TMC in West Bengal he maintained that the decision will taken later.
