Dumka: Jharkhand Chief Minister has directed the concerned authorities to improve the functioning of the Phulo-Jhano Medical College Hospital.
The Chief Minister held a meeting with the Principal, Civil Surgeon, Medical Superintendent and medical officer of the hospital and warned that incase any problem is found than strict action will be taken against the concerned officials.
The Chief Minister said that he had been receiving regular complaint that the doctors and other staff posted in the hospital remain away from work due to which the patient’s face lots of problem, therefore, he directed all the doctors and paramedical staff to perform biometric attendance that apart from that as per roaster duty they should come to work. He said that if any complaint is received regarding doctors missing duty hours then strict action will be taken against them.
He directed to complete the construction of the building in the hospital within 15 days and also directed the hospital management to ensure your proper cleanliness in the hospital.
The Chief Minister directed to address the issues of seepage repair of doors and windows and electrical wiring in the hospital. The Chief Minister said that during the surprise visit to the hospital a day earlier he had found that doctors were not wearing the apron therefore it was difficult to understand whether they are doctors or not.
He directed the doctors to wear apron in the duty and it also expressed anguish that the equipment which have been provided for the treatment of the patients were not being used for the treatment of the patients.
