Horrific road accident in Giridih: Scorpio riders were returning from a wedding procession, vehicle collided with a tree, five died

Giridih: A horrific road accident took place in Giridih, Jharkhand around 3 o’clock. Six people died on the spot in this accident. Two people have been seriously injured. The two people who were injured are children.

According to Sources, the victim of this accident was a Scorpio vehicle which was returning from a wedding procession. All the dead and injured have been brought to Sadar Hospital. The injured are being treated, while preparations for the post-mortem of the dead are underway.

The vehicle involved in the accident was returning from a wedding procession from a place called Thoriya in the district. An accident occurred during this time. The marriage of Chand Rasid, son of Mohd. Farooq Ansari, resident of Thoria, was fixed with Muskaan Praveen, daughter of Pappu Ansari, resident of Tikodih of Muffasil police station area.

As per the scheduled time, the wedding procession reached on the night of 17th November and the vigil took place. On the wedding night itself, about 10 people were returning to Thoria in a Scorpio. As soon as all the mofussils reached the Baghmara police station area, the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The car was traveling at high speed due to which it collided with a tree on the side of the road. Five people died on the spot in this incident. While five people including two children were injured. One of the dead could not be identified. 

As soon as information about the incident was received, Muffasil police station in-charge Kamlesh Paswan reached the spot and sent everyone to Sadar Hospital. It is being said that the reason behind the accident was speeding and sleepiness. Due to these two reasons, the driver lost control of the vehicle and the speeding Scorpio collided with a tree on the roadside.

After the accident, people passing by somehow tried to get the people out. Meanwhile, people informed the police about the accident. Police are busy investigating the incident.
