Holi special trains to be run from Ranchi, Railways released schedule

Ranchi: The number of railway passengers increases during Holi. In view of the possible crowd, Railways has decided to run four Holi special trains from Ranchi. This will provide a lot of convenience to the people going to UP and Bihar. An announcement regarding this has been made by Ranchi Railway Division.

Ranchi Railway Division has also fixed the arrival and departure timings of special trains. Railway administration said that the number of passengers traveling to and from UP and Bihar has increased. Due to this there is long waiting time in trains. In view of the waiting list in normal trains, Railways has decided to run special trains.

Of the four special trains, three will go only to Bihar and one train will go to Gorakhpur city of Uttar Pradesh via Bihar. This train will run for one trip. This train will open from Ranchi station on March 23. On March 24, the same train will open from Jai Nagar to Ranchi as train number 08839. This train will have a total of 24 coaches including 2 SLRD coaches, 22 second class and sleeper coaches.

Train from Ranchi to Katihar will open on 22nd March and 29th March. The same train from Katihar will open on 21st and 28th March. This train will make two trips. Railways has released the time table. It will have 02 SLRD coaches, 05 General Class coaches, 05 Second Class Sleeper coaches and 03 3-Tier coaches. Keeping in view the convenience of passengers and Holi festival, only one special train is being run from Ranchi Railway Division to UP. This train will open from Ranchi to Gorakhpur. Then we will return to Ranchi from Gorakhpur.

Train number 08821 will run from Ranchi and train number 08822 from Gorakhpur. The train will have 02 generator coaches and 17 air-conditioned 3-tier (economy) coaches. The route of the train has also been changed. The train will go to Gorakhpur via Patna. This train opening for Purnia will be for one trip only. This train will leave from Ranchi on 23rd March. On return, this train will leave from Purnia on the same day.

The train will include a total of 21 coaches including one SLRD coach, eight general class coaches, 10 second class sleeper coaches and two three tier AC coaches.
