High Court asks CBI for investigation report related to first and second JPSC exam

Ranchi: Hearing was held in the High Court on the PIL filed for the demand of investigation of other examinations including First and Second JPSC.

During the hearing, the court directed to present the report again after seeing the sealed status report of the CBI related to the investigation done so far.

The court has again directed the CBI to submit the report by 30 August.

The next hearing of the case will be on 6 September.

In 2008, Buddhadev Oraon had filed a public interest litigation alleging irregularities in all these examinations.

After this, the High Court had banned the appointment while directing the CBI to investigate these examinations.

Against this, the government and the candidates affected by the case had taken refuge in the Supreme Court.

From where he got relief and the High Court’s order to stop the appointment process was rejected by the Supreme Court.

But the order for CBI inquiry was upheld.

The investigation in this matter has been completed.

A division bench of Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra and Ananda Sen is hearing the entire matter.
