Ranchi: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, suspended light worker Bhanu Pratap of Bargain area, Afsar Ali and other accused in the land scam case were presented before the special court of Ranchi PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act).
The production of all the accused was done through video conferencing from Birsa Munda Central Jail. After which the court has extended the period of his judicial custody by 14 days. Hemant Soren was arrested on the night of 31 January.
Officers Ali, Antu Tirkey, Priyaranjan Sahay, Vipin Singh and Irshad have also been arrested in the same case. Apart from Ranchi PMLA Court, Hemant Soren has also appealed for bail in Jharkhand High Court and Supreme Court.
