Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday paid tributes to Shaheed Nirmal Mahto on his 33rd death anniversary.
The Chief Minister garlanded the portrait of the martyr and paid his tributes. He said that martyr Nirmal Mahto had paid a great role in the separate Jharkhand movement as he brought people from all the sections together in this cause and added more strength to the movement.
He said that Nirmal Mahto was such a great personality and revolutionary that he through his own struggles gave a new direction to the separate statehood movement. Hemant said that as long as Jharkhand would exist people would remember the name of Nirmal Mahto.
He said that the ideals of Nirmal Mahto are an inspiration for every one and by following on the path showed by him a rich and prosperous Jharkhand can be built.
Those present on the occasion also included many other leaders of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.
