Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday participated in celebrations of the Sarhul Festival at Tribal Students Hostel located at Karam Toli of the state capital. Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister said that once again after the pandemic people have gathered here to celebrate the nature festival of Sarhul. He said that it gives immense pleasure to take forward the culture and tradition.
Extending his greetings to the people on the occasion he said that wherever the people live they together take forward their tradition and culture. He said that members of the tribal community have always stayed away from hatred and have stood together for protecting their culture and tradition.
The Chief Minister called on the people to make sure that their traditions which are ages old remain intact. Hemant Soren said that renovation is being done in all the hostels being run by the welfare department and their problems are being corrected. He said that in these hostels now there will be arrangements for cook and chowkidar and now the students staying in these hostels will be provided food by the government.
He said that an effort is being made to give a new shape to the hostels. He said that the government has decided to build hostels for tribals girls coming for education in big cities so that they do not face any problems.
