Ranchi: The weather pattern has changed in Jharkhand on Monday. It rained heavily in Ranchi on Monday evening. There is a possibility of a hailstorm along with rain tomorrow. The effect of western disturbance is being seen in Jharkhand. There may be light rain with thunder at isolated places in the western, central and adjacent north-eastern parts of the state.
The Meteorological Department has issued an Orange alert in 4 districts of the state and Yellow alert in 5 districts for Tuesday. Orange alert has been issued in view of the strong possibility of hailstorm at isolated places in Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra and Latehar districts. There is a possibility of hailstorm at isolated places in Gumla, Lohardaga, Hazaribagh, Ranchi and Koderma districts.
During this period, there may be light to moderate rainfall along with thunder and lightning. There is no possibility of any major change in the minimum temperature during the next 5 days in the state. There is a possibility of thunderstorms along with rain on 14th February also.
In the last 24 hours, light rainfall occurred at some places in the state. Highest rainfall of 5.2 mm was recorded in Jaldega and Simdega blocks. The highest maximum temperature of 29.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Chaibasa while the lowest minimum temperature of 9.7 degrees Celsius was recorded in Godda.
