Ranchi: The weather patterns have changed in Jharkhand. Rain observed in many parts of the state including Hazaribagh, Palamu.
The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain in many parts of the state even today. Due to this the day temperature dropped by about four degrees. The cold increased after the rain.
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain in many parts of the state today and tomorrow. The weather is expected to remain like this for the coming few days. The sky will remain cloudy on Sunday also.
Further changes in the weather are expected after Sunday. There may be a rapid drop in temperature and cold and shivering will increase. The effect of fog and mist may also increase in many parts of the state.
Meteorological Department scientist Abhishek Anand said that there is a partial effect of western disturbance in the capital Ranchi. Light to moderate rainfall has been recorded across the state. The temperature may drop further from Sunday onwards, the cold will increase further.
The minimum temperature is likely to reach eight degrees Celsius in urban areas and five to six degrees Celsius in rural areas. The cold will subside as soon as the effect of western disturbance ends. The weather pattern changed in Ranchi and surrounding areas on Friday afternoon.
It rained heavily with strong wind for about half an hour. Maximum rainfall occurred in Kanke region. Due to this the day temperature dropped by about four degrees. The cold increased after the rain.
Abhishek Anand, scientist of the Indian Meteorological Center, Ranchi, said that there will be fog in the morning from January 7 to January 12. Then there will be light clouds. Fog and light clouds may be seen in the sky on January 8 in the morning but there is no possibility of rain. Even on January 10, the sky will be cloudy but there is no possibility of rain. There is every possibility of the temperature falling in the last few days.
