Hearing on bail plea of suspended IAS Pooja Singhal in Supreme Court on March 11

Ranchi: A partial hearing was held in the Supreme Court on Monday on the bail application of suspended IAS Pooja Singhal, accused of money laundering.

After this, the bench of Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia fixed the next date of hearing on March 11.

Senior advocate Siddharth Luthra argued on behalf of Pooja Singhal.

ASG (Assistant Solicitor General) SV Raju presented the stand on behalf of ED.

Suspended IAS Pooja Singhal had surrendered in the special court of Ranchi ED on 12 April 2023.

Since then he has been in judicial custody in Birsa Munda Central Jail.

ED had arrested Pooja Singhal on 11 May 2022 in the MNREGA scam case in Khunti, Jharkhand.

Her husband Abhishek Jha was granted anticipatory bail by the Supreme Court.
