Health Minister Banna Gupta fails to get first Corona vaccine

Ranchi: Health Minister Banna Gupta did not get the first coronavirus vaccine injection in the state.

Talking to the media at the Sadar Hospital he said that he had written a mail to the health department stating that Health Minister is also a health worker therefore he should be given the first vaccine unfortunately the department did not give him the necessary permission. Banna Gupta further said that had the Prime Minister got the injection than all the health ministers in the country would have got the injection. He said that the health ministry does not consider the health minister as the healthcare worker.

The first injection in the Sadar Hospital was given to woman cleanliness staff Mariam Gudiya. Chief Minister Hemant Soren was himself present at the start of the vaccination drive. The vaccination Centre was also beautifully decorated at the Sadar Hospital and no one without prior approval was allowed to get inside, all the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of coronavirus was also followed. Across 24 districts of Jharkhand in each district two vaccination centres have been set up which means across the state on 48 centres the beneficiaries were given vaccinations on the inaugural day.
