Ranchi: The High Court has sought a report from the state government over its preparations to tackle the third wave of Coronavirus.
The government has been directed to come out with the details of measures which have been taken to tackle the third wave and also point out the works which have been completed.
The bench of Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan and Justice SN Prasad directed the state government to present its report next week. The court commented that the government needs to take all the necessary steps to tackle the third wave as the previous experience was not very good.
The court said that before the second wave the government was directed to strengthen the healthcare facilities and buy machines for RIMS and appoint doctors on vacant posts but since timely action was not taken things went out of control.
The court has also sought information regarding the facilities available in the district wards, facilities in child ward and steps being taken to increase the necessary facilities, arrangements of ICU for children in the hospitals.
Further the court also directed to present a detailed report next week over the number of oxygen plants approved by the Centre for Jharkhand, facilities of oxygen storage tank in hospitals etc.
