Ranchi: Governor cum chancellor of universities Draupadi Murmu will inaugurate the building of Dairy Technical College in Hansdiha of Dumka district on Monday and will also lay the foundation stone for the hostels for the students.
Agriculture Minister Randhir Singh and Godda MP Nishikant Dubey will also be present on the occasion. The college will be known as Phulo-Jhano Dairy Technical College. The college was being initially operated from the premises of Ranchi Veterinary College premises however after the main building and other infrastructures have been created the students are now being transferred.
There are a total of 48 students who are studying in the college at present. This college is the state’s first dairy technical college however till date regular faculty for this has not been made by JPSC and is being operated through contractual teachers. Caretaker VC of the BAU Dr RS Kuril and others will also be present on the occasion.
