Guv reaches Sadar Hospital, gets Covid vaccine, urges people to get vaccinated

Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu on Tuesday got herself injected with Corona vaccine.

The Governor herself reached at the Sadar Hospital where under the supervision of Ranchi Civil Surgeon VB Prasad she was given the first dose of the vaccine.

The Governor later said that the vaccine was totally safe. She said that the vaccines which are made is India are also popular across the world and expressed her gratitude towards the scientists. She has urged all the elderly who are above 60 years, frontline warriors and healthcare staff to get the vaccine.

Deputy superintendent of Sadar Hospital Dr S Mandal said that the Governor was given the Covishield vaccine. He said that the Governor also expressed her satisfaction over the arrangements at the hospital.

He said that the Governor was kept under observation for about 30 minutes and after her BP and sugar was monitored she was allowed to return back to the Raj Bhawan.
