Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan interacted with the villagers in a program organized in the premises of the Gram Panchayat office at Gutjora in Khunti district on Monday. He said that a man can achieve his destination if he has the desire and determination to do something.
Appreciating the progress being made in the agriculture sector in the Khunti district, he said that this is his third visit to Khunti in the last 4 months. He said that the people here are aware of the schemes of the Central Government and the State Government and are also getting benefits.
Our effort is to create awareness and provide the opportunity to move forward in life. Governor Radhakrishnan added “If we remain aware, then we will be able to know about the daily changes, new methods and new inventions and can also increase our income by bringing them into our lives.”
During the interaction with Villagers, Gayashree Kumari informed about dragon fruit horticulture that she had taken training for dragon fruit before cultivating it.
She has constructed toilets and Prime Minister’s Aawas after getting training from Rani Mistry and has also trained many women. The Governor asked Deputy Commissioner Khunti regarding the cultivation of dragon fruit, he said that he is also encouraging strawberry cultivation here and arranging market links for the farmers’ produce.
