A high speed pickup van fell ten feet below the road, driver killed, one injured in Pakur district of Jharkhand

Ranchi: A high-speed pickup van lost control and fell ten feet below the road, killing the driver on the spot and injuring a labourer near Barmasia village on the Govindpur- Sahibganj highway of Littipada police station in Pakur district of Jharkhand on Monday. 

The driver could not control the van and the van fell ten feet below the road. The name of the deceased is Anuj Kumar. He was a resident of Padma village in Hazaribagh district. The injured labourer Asghar Ali is a resident of Fulbadiya Murgi Tola of Rajmahal. The pickup van was going to bring mangoes from Hazaribagh to Rajmahal.

After getting the news of the accident, the police of Littipada police station reached the spot and took the dead body in custody and sent it to Pakur for postmortem. The injured labourer was admitted to the hospital. The police have seized the van and brought it to the police station.
