Governor asks NCC cadets to continue their efforts for overall development as well as building a better society

Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan said that NCC cadets and NSS volunteers should continue their efforts for overall development as well as building a better society. He said that NCC and NSS have been playing an important role in guiding the youth of the country through various activities since their inception.

They are active in the direction of developing the spirit of national integration, social activities and patriotism among the youth. The Governor was felicitating the NCC cadets and NSS volunteers who had represented the State in the ‘Republic Day Parade 2023’ organized at New Delhi. 

On this occasion Principal Secretary to the Governor Dr Nitin Kulkarni, Additional Director General, NCC, Bihar- Jharkhand Major General AS Bajaj and various military officials, Vice Chancellor of Ranchi University Dr Ajit Sinha, Vice Chancellor of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University Dr Tapan Kumar Shandilya, State NSS Officer Dr Brajesh Kumar and NCC cadets and NSS volunteers were present.

The Governor said that he too was once an NCC cadet and knows the activities of NCC closely. He told the cadets that everyone should be loyal to the work in life and do their work with focus. He said that only a disciplined person can achieve success in his life and the role of NCC in building discipline has been commendable. NCC is working to develop the spirit of discipline, leadership, team spirit and patriotism among the youth. 

He asked the youth to make their overall development by joining NCC. The Governor said that NCC is not only concerned with training it also lays emphasis on social service activities.

NCC and NSS are active in the overall personality development of the youth. Its participation in community development programs like blood donation, literacy, tree plantation, Swachh Bharat Mission, environment protection, disaster management etc is commendable he said. On this occasion, the Additional Director General, NCC, Bihar- Jharkhand threw light on the activities of NCC.
