Government needs to implement Common Minimum Programme with honesty: Pandey

Ranchi: Newly appointed in-charge for Jharkhand Congress Avinash Pandey on Monday said that in order to further strengthen the coalition government it is necessary that work should be done with honesty in the direction of implementing the Common Minimum Programme.

Addressing a press conference at the end of his three day visit to the state he expressed hope that the election promises made by the Congress will soon be visible on the ground.

He said that better work has been done in Jharkhand in the tenure of the coalition government for the last two and a half years but it is also necessary that the communication gap created for workers between government and the officials should be removed.  At the same time, regarding the work of the ministers he said that not only the work of ministers of the Congress quota but the work of all the members of the cabinet should be reviewed.

When asked as to whether any preparation has been made regarding making changes in the ministers from Congress quota he said that it is clear from the feedback received from the MLAs that the work of the ministers is much better.  In view of their responsibility towards the public, it is certain that their performance will be better in future, he added.

On the question of not getting status in the Assembly despite giving the post of Deputy Leader to Congress MLA Pradeep Yadav, he said that the matter has come to his notice and he will talk to the Chief Minister about this.  At the same time over former Education Minister Geetashree Oraon leaving the party and the allegations leveled by her Avinash Pandey said that they allegations are completely baseless.

He said that there is great enthusiasm among the Congress workers of Jharkhand and they are working to take the programs of the party to the public.  He said that all the MLAs are discharging their responsibilities not only at the level of the government but also at the level of the organization in their respective areas.

Praising the coalition government, Avinash Pandey said that during the Corona period, Congress workers from district to block level have brought relief to the general public. Praising the works of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, he said that the future of Jharkhand is bright under the leadership of the youth leader. He said that many plans are in the mind of the Chief Minister due to which the development of Jharkhand is certain.  He said that during his three-day visit, he took feedback from Congress workers including MLAs, district presidents about the work of the organization and the government and now he will talk to the Chief Minister about these feedbacks.

During this many Congress leaders including Congress co-in-charge Umang Singhar, State President Rajesh Thakur, Ministers Alamgir Alam, Rameshwar Oraon, former state unit Chief Ajay Kumar were present.
