Government makes major changes in Niyojan Niti (recruitment policy): Does away with compulsion of passing 10th & 12th from Jharkhand

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Government has brought major changes in the recruitment policy of the state including doing away with the compulsion of passing 10th and 12th from schools and colleges of Jharkhand and has also included Hindi, English and Sanskrit as regional language papers.

A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the state cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the project building here. Briefing the press after the meeting Cabinet Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh said that now it will not be mandatory to study tenth and twelfth from the state institutions in the appointments from JSSC.

Along with this, the compulsion of local customs has also been removed. At the same time, Hindi, English and Sanskrit have been added to the language paper. Now there will be a total of 15 languages in the regional and tribal language paper. In this, questions of 100 marks will be asked which will be multiple choices.

All these rules will be applicable in the Staff Selection Commission Examination Graduate Level Manual, Matriculation, 10th Pass Manual and Diploma Manual. The amendment will also apply to the reserved category. Further, it has been decided that an Incentive amount will be given to the students securing first, second and third in matriculation and inter-examination of Jharkhand Academic Council, CBSE and ICSE board.

The first comers will be given Rs 3 lakh, the second-ranked Rs 2 lakh and the third position holders will be given Rs 1 lakh. Along with this, laptops up to Rs 60,000 and mobile phones up to Rs 20,000 will be given. 

The cabinet has also decided to open Durga Soren University in Deoghar, in addition to this, a model degree college will be constructed in Sahebganj from the state plan. Apart from this, the services of two personnel Nasruddin Khan and Kartik Mahila have been regularized in the Food Public Distribution Department, Ranchi.

Along with this, the amount given to the players and coaches representing the state in various national and international sports including Olympic Games has been revised. Jharkhand Municipal Property Tax Assessment Collection Recovery Amendment Rules 2022 was approved.

According to this, the beneficiary of poor physically disabled women and children will have to pay 50 percent of the prescribed holding tax from educational and social institutions to run on the basis of trust no profit no loss. However, it has been made mandatory to submit a valid certificate for this.
