Government continuously moving forward in area of providing better healthcare facilities: CM

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday said that the state government is continuously moving forward to provide better healthcare facilities to the people of the state. Speaking in a function after handing over appointment letters on a contract basis to the doctors in Ayush sector he said that the government is committed to ensuring studies in Unani Ayurvedic and Homeopathy in the state. He said that people living in the rural areas should also get the benefits of Ayush Treatment therefore appointment letters is being handed over to 217 such doctors. 

He said that the Ayurvedic Unani and Homeopathy modes of treatment were in practice ages before the modern means of treatment came into existence he said that there was no doubt that the occasion was a historic one. He extended his best wishes to the newly appointed doctors and hoped for their bright future. He also asked them to work with honesty and dedication at which every place they are posted.

The Chief Minister that Ayush’s method of treatment is still very effective as it was in the ancient era, especially in a state like Jharkhand it can prove to be a very effective and holds special significance in the state which is surrounded by land water and forest and dominated by tribals. He said people of the state have strong attachment with nature and they often use natural methods of treatment therefore Ayush mode of treatment is very effective for treatment here as it can easily treat many small and big diseases.

The Chief Minister said that the day was very important one as for the first time on such a large scale Ayush doctors have been appointed in the state. He hoped that the appointments will be further make Ayush mode of treatment more effective in the state and the people will also be able to take its benefits.

On this occasion, MoU was signed between the Government of Jharkhand and Shri Sathya Sai Hospital. Under the MoU one thousand heart patients of Jharkhand will be treated free of cost every year at Sri Sathya Sai Hospital in Gujarat. Jharkhand government will spend 10 thousand rupees per patient on the travel of these patients. 

Terming it as a historic step, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that this MoU will provide free heart treatment to youth and adults of Jharkhand at Sri Sathya Sai Hospital Rajkot and Ahmedabad. The Chief Minister said that due to the paucity of money those who are unable to get treatment this arrangement would prove to be a milestone for them.

Hemant Soren said that today a new generation is trying to increase this system as 217 doctors are being appointed through them remote villagers will get benefit. The Chief Minister said that the government keeps thinking about maintaining the health system but still can not get it right.

He said that doctors are part of the government and asked them to do the best job possible. The government will also work to give you incentives he said adding that apart from the salary, every month 15 thousand rupees as incentives will be given. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Banna Gupta said that the Health Department is moving
in a better direction day by day under the guidance of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

He said that day is a happy day that as doctors of 217 Ayush fields have received contract-based appointment letters from the Chief Minister. He appealed to the newly appointed doctors to treat the patients with a smiling face and sweet voice where they are working so that people feel that they are a member of their family. He said that when people treat patients with kindness, half of their illness will be cured just by touching them.
