Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the state government was committed to encouraging sports and sportspersons and soon a new sports policy would be brought before the people.
Through a tweet made on his official Twitter handle he instructed Dhanbad DC to provide all necessary have to international women football player Sangeeta Soren and her family.
The Chief Minister was informed that International footballer Sangeeta Soren who hails from Baghmara was being forced to make an earning for a family member by making ‘Patal’ (plates which are made using leaves). Sangeeta has represented the country in 2018 in Bhutan and other Asian countries as well but at present, she did not have a proper means to earn.
