Mumbai — Actress Gouri Agarwal has opened up about the intense transformation of her character Kirti in the TV show Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, describing the journey from a positive role to a dark one as both emotionally and physically demanding.
What began as a straightforward, positive character has gradually evolved into a grey shade and now taken a completely negative turn. Gouri admitted that adapting to this shift hasn’t been easy, as she often finds herself struggling to emotionally justify Kirti’s actions.
Reflecting on the experience, she shared that there have been moments when her own moral instincts made it difficult to fully immerse herself in certain scenes. Despite that, she has had to constantly remind herself to stay true to the character’s arc and deliver a convincing performance.
She added that portraying Kirti’s aggressive behaviour and extreme actions—especially those affecting characters like Reet and Raghav—requires deep mental alignment with the character’s mindset, which is a continuous and challenging process.
The show also features Bharat Ahlawwat as Raghav and Aayushi Khurrana as Reet in key roles.
