Ranchi: An FIR has been registered to post the incident involving youth from the minority community getting inside a school campus with firearms and asking girls to become friends with them getting significantly blown out. It is being claimed that the culprits asked the girls to become friends with them or threatened them to forcibly take them away and upon resisting they were also beaten up.
Over the incident, Ranchi Rural SP Naushad Aalam said that after the SSP received the information a FIR has been registered and a probe has commenced. He said that a five-member SIT headed by local DSP has been constituted to probe the matter and assured strict action against the culprits.
The incident took place on Saturday at project plus two high schools Ormanjhi. The girls later narrated the incident to their families. Later a meeting was held in the school campus in which the local public representatives’ social workers officials and school teachers participated in which the girls narrated their sufferings.
Thereafter the entire matter was detailed to the Ormanjhi Police. Anger is growing in the area post the incident. Over a query over threats being issued by members of a particular community, police said the matter is being probed. In the fir apart from five names accused names of a few others have been included which the police declined to divulge.
