Ranchi: Former JMM MLA from Mahespur seat of Santhal Pargana joined the BJP on Sunday in the presence of senior leaders of the state unit including Deepak Prakash and Babulal Marandi. Many other JMM leaders and workers from the Pakur district also joined the membership of the party.
Speaking on the occasion State BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash said that a strong pillar of JMM has been destroyed in Santhal Pargana. He said that JMM workers have understood that the party has nothing to do with the welfare of the poor tribals and Dalits and it is the BJP only which can undertake the welfare of the state.
Leader of the legislature wing Babulal Marandi said that people and workers have started losing faith in family-based parties and for the JMM the power is meant to loot the state. He said that JMM workers are worried to save Jharkhand therefore they are leaving the party.
Former MLA Sufal Marandi said that BJP is the only party that can realise the dream of developing Jharkhand as it is the main party responsible for the creation of a separate state of Jharkhand.
