Ranchi: The Supreme Court will now hear the bail plea of former Ranchi DC Chhavi Ranjan, accused in the land scam, in the month of January. His case was listed in the bench of Supreme Court judges Justice Bela M Trivedi and Justice Satish Chandra Sharma.
During the hearing, the court has set the date for the next hearing of this case after 4 weeks. Actually, ED is investigating two cases related to land scam in Ranchi. Chhavi Ranjan has been made an accused in both the cases.
At present the case in which he has filed a bail application. That is a case of buying and selling of land on the basis of fake documents in Cheshire Home Road. One of his bail petitions is pending in Jharkhand High Court.
