Ranchi: As cold weather enters, markets for warm clothes have started getting decorated in the capital. Like every year, this year also the Potala Sweater Market has been started by the people coming from Tibet, near Mahendra Prasad Women’s College on Circular Road, Lalpur.

For the last 53 years, a market is being organized by the people of Tibet in Ranchi. This time a total of 58 stalls have been set up, in which different types of warm clothes are available. This market will run till January.

It was inaugurated by Ranchi MLA CP Singh on Friday. Said that not only in Ranchi, Tibetan people in various states of India do sweater trade in India for their living. There are some people who mistake the people of Tibet who set up Potala market as Nepalese or Chinese.

In the program, Padmashree Mukund Nayak welcomed the vendors from Tibet with cultural songs and dances of Jharkhand. The program was presided over by Tsering Dorji Chung. He said that in the Potala market, warm clothes from head to toe, sweaters, gloves and caps are available for children, elderly and women.

He said that we have been receiving love from the people of Jharkhand for the last 53 years. I express my gratitude to the people of Jharkhand for this.
