Ranchi : A meeting of the District Task Force for the success of Transmission Assessment Survey 2023 was organized by Deputy Commissioner Ranchi Rahul Kumar Sinha on Tuesday in the auditorium located at Collectorate Block-A. Civil Surgeon of Ranchi Dr. Prabhat Kumar, District Education Superintendent Mithlesh Kerketa, District were also present in the meeting.
BD Officer, District Leprosy Officer, District Tuberculosis Officer, District Program Manager, Block Program Manager and representatives of WHO, Piramal were present. It is known that for the eradication of filariasis, Transmission Assessment Suave program is being organized in 10 CHCs and urban community health centers of Ranchi district.
Under which children studying in class 1 and 2 of selected schools of Ranchi district are to be tested with FTS insects. For the Transmission Assessment Survey, 313 schools and 8230 children studying in classes 1 and 2 have been selected, which includes government and non-government schools.
A total of 8230 children are to be tested with FTS PEST in all the selected schools by a total of 18 teams. Consent letters will be given to parents to give permission for testing in all selected schools. Biscuit and cake are also to be given to the children after the test. Children found positive after testing will be given medicines as per the standard.
Rapid response teams have been formed in each center for the above activity. During the program, it has been ensured that daily reports are sent to the district so that it can be monitored by higher officials at the district level.
Giving instructions by Deputy Commissioner Ranchi Rahul Kumar Sinha said that he will hold a meeting regarding filariasis with the headmasters and SMC members of the selected schools of his area so that 100 percent children can be tested.
