Five ultras arrested by Ranchi Police for pasting posters

Ranchi: Police have arrested five ultras who were involved in pasting posters in the capital.

Briefing the press on Friday Ranchi SSP Surendra Kumar Jha said that from the arrested a four-wheeler, a motorcycle and large number of banners belonging to Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC) have been recovered. He said that a special team under City SP was formed which cracked the case and arrested the five who have confessed to their role in pasting the posters.

The arrested have been identified as Sunil Oraon, Kalicharan Munda, Devanand Munda, Roshan Munda and Rahul. The SSP said that while Sunil Oraon has served in the armed squad of the outfit, Kalicharan Munda has also served a prison term on a previous occasion. When asked how the ultras managed to paste the posters in a VIP area which has the Raj Bhawan also situated in it he said that it was not possible for the police to keep an eye every moment on every lane and chowk.

The outfit had also pasted posters in Piparwar, Chanho, Khelari, Budmu and Bundu of this district on Monday while on Tuesday the posters were found on the wall of a hospital near the Rajbhawan.
