Dumka: Five members of an inter-state criminal gang have been arrested by the Dumka Police along with arms.
Briefing the press SDPO Noor Mustafa Ansari said that on September 26 a four-wheeler was looted from Haripur village under Shikaripada Police Station area following which police constituted a special team to crack the case.
In the course of the investigation with the help of Pakur and Rampurhaat (West Bengal) police raids were conducted across separate locations and one Bhavesh Kumar Rai alias Rahul was arrested who spilled the beans and subsequently Bishnu Kumar Mandal, Karan Kumar Mandal, Andeep Kumar and Ehsan Sheikh were arrested.
From the arrested three pistols, cartridges, various mobiles and other items of loot have been recovered the police officer said adding that several cases are registered against the arrested in different police stations of Dumka and Pakur district and also in West Bengal.
