Ranchi: A total of 14 girls including 8 minors were rescued from being trafficked to Hyderabad by a team of Ranchi RPF.
An FIR in this connection has been registered at the Anti Human Trafficking unit at Kotwali Police Station. RPF officials said that these girls were to be taken to Hyderabad and originally hail from Latehar district.
The girls had reached at the Ranchi railway station on Friday morning itself when a RPF jawan saw the group. When probed the girls could not reveal as to where were they going after which the RPF team swung into action and arrested a human trafficker who was to accompany these girls to Hyderabad from the railway station premises.
The girls were meant to be trafficked to Hyderabad through the Darbangha-Secunderabad Express.
