Ranchi: Police has arrested five criminals who were planning a loot under Muri OP of this district.
The arrested have been identified as Krishna Mahto, Ravidas Karmali, Phoolchand Karmali, Sanjay Mahto and Abdul. From the arrested two arms and five mobiles have been recovered.
Ranchi Rural SP Naushad Aalam said that a tip off had been received that behind Muri station some miscreants in a vehicle were planning to execute a loot after which a team under Silli DSP conducted raids.
Upon seeing the policemen the criminals started to flee but were chased and nabbed. The criminals confessed that they were planning to loot a Bengal based trader.
