Ranchi: Jharkhand’s first tribal Cricketer Robin Minz from Namkum will now take cricket training in England. The IPL team Mumbai Indians selected him in the team and will have a wide range of training for him. His passion for cricket from a very young age. His training will start in August.
Robin’s coach Ashif said “The same team called him three days ago and asked him to get his passport ready after being left out of the trials and returning disappointed.” Not only the family members but also his mentors Chanchal Bhattacharya and Ashif are happy with his success. Wicket-keeping batsman Robin Minj considers Dhoni as his role model. He wants to be like him. He is currently under training at the Senate Cricket Club, Namkum.
During the conversation, coach Ashif said “He has been taking training from us for the last six years.” Along with this, he also gets the support of cricketer SP Gautam. Robin’s coach Ashif added “Before his selection, Robin was called to appear in the trial by Lucknow Supergiants, Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders last year.” In which he also gave the trial of Delhi Capitals but he could not be selected.
His coach Said, “Robin had an under-19 open trial during 2020-21.” He scored 60 runs in his first tri match. He had also hit 5 sixes. Robin Minz’s father is Xavier Francis Minz an ex-Army man. He is currently handling the responsibility of security at Ranchi airport. He has two sisters.
