Ranchi: In the wake of the orders of the National Green Tribunal the Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board has come out with necessary guidelines. In wake of the guidelines, the Ranchi Sadar SDO has issued a fresh set of directions as per which only such firecrackers will be sold whose sound is less than 125 decibels.
On Diwali day the bursting of firecrackers is only permitted for two hours from 8 PM to 10 PM. Any person who would be found violating the guidelines against them action will be taken under appropriate sections of the IPC and others. On Guru Parv also the permission for bursting the firecrackers is from 8 PM to 10 PM.
