Election Commission awarded Short film ‘Ek Ghante Mein Bhagya Sanware’ with first prize in Voter Awareness Contest in Jharkhand State 

Ranchi:  The winners of Jharkhand Voter Awareness Contest were awarded in the auditorium located at Nirvachan Sadan in Ranchi on Monday.

The first prize was given to the short film Ek Hour Mein Bhagya Swaare and music video Mein Chalo Vote Kare. During the program, Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar said that the Election Commission’s reach to the voters has increased through the Jharkhand Voter Awareness Contest.

In the contest, the participants showcased their talent and gave the message of voter awareness through reels, short films, music videos and poster making competitions. On this occasion, Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar said that the creativity of the participants will create awareness among the voters. Besides, the voting percentage of Jharkhand will also increase.

Due to various voter awareness campaigns going on continuously in Jharkhand, the voting percentage of Jharkhand is likely to improve in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. He thanked the participants for participating in the contest.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Neha Arora said on this occasion that the publicity for voting has increased due to the participation of the participants in the Jharkhand Voter Awareness Contest. Awareness among voters has increased. All voters will reach the polling station and vote. He appealed to all the participants to take meaningful initiatives to motivate voters to vote.

Joint Chief Electoral Officer Subodh Kumar introduced the topic in the award distribution. The program was conducted by Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Devdas Dutta. In the Jharkhand Voter Awareness Contest, 760 entries were received from other states including Jharkhand.

Participants participated in Short Film, Music Video, Reels and Poster Making categories and gave the message of voter awareness by showcasing their talent. The winning participants also displayed their creativity during the prize distribution program. Jharkhand Voter Awareness Contest was divided into four categories.

In this, Ranjit Kumar was awarded the first prize in the short film category with a shield and citation along with Rs 50,000 in cash. In the Music Video category, Solomon Das was awarded the first prize of Rs 50 thousand in cash, in the Reels category, Ajay Kumar was awarded the first prize of Rs 10 thousand, in the Poster category, Suraj Kumar was awarded the first prize of Rs 15 thousand in cash along with a shield and citation.

The above four categories were divided into different sub categories. Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar, Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Neha Arora and other officials were rewarded with cash, shield and citation.
