ED’s raid in Delhi is an intimidating action, we would not be afraid – Supriyo Bhattacharya

Ranchi: JMM lashed out fiercely against the central government and the ED over the ED’s raid on the Chief Minister’s residence and Jharkhand Bhawan in Delhi. Party Central General Secretary cum Spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said that action has been taken to scare JMM, which we are not afraid of.

BJP, which cannot compete politically with JMM and cannot go among the people, is misusing agencies.  He said these things during a press conference organized in the party office. He said that the ED itself had written a letter to the Chief Minister asking him to fix the time and date for further inquiry.

ED had given time from 29 to 31 January. Then what is the reason behind such action and the action to spoil the political atmosphere of the state. On whose instructions did ED reach Delhi.

Supriyo Bhattacharya said that on December 20, a team of 7 officers led by the Assistant Commissioner of ED reached the Chief Minister’s residence. For about seven hours, ECIR was 20/22, 17 to 18 questions were asked. But during interrogation, the case was not found in the file of Schedule Progressive Crime.

All the information about the cases is registered with the Election Commission. Income Tax has all the information. Supriyo said that the Chief Minister has nothing to do with Sohrai Bhawan. His wife looks after his work.

The Election Commission already has all the information. The land which ED is making the basis of its action is actually land which cannot be bought or sold. Supriyo Bhattacharya said that Chief Minister Hemant Soren has gone to Delhi for some personal work. He is in Delhi only. Not traceless.

If Babulal Marandi wants to meet Chief Minister Hemant Soren, he will have to take an appointment first. We will arrange for them to meet. Supriyo Bhattacharya expressed his objection to the news going on about Delhi since morning. He said that the media and its representatives also reside in this state. No news should be publicized or disseminated through sources. This spoils the atmosphere of the state.

News should be publicized only after investigation and obtaining complete information. Propaganda should be avoided.
