ED witness said-1500 trucks used to cross daily, commission used to go to Pankaj Mishra in illegal Mining

Ranchi: A hearing was held in the special court of ED in the money laundering case related to illegal mining. In a hearing, the statement of ED’s witness Vinod Jaiswal was recorded before the court. Vinod Jaiswal is a mining businessman from Sahibganj district.

He said to the court in his testimony that he had got the license of crusher, but Pankaj Mishra forcibly took his crusher and Pankaj Mishra’s people used to operate it. In lieu of running the crusher, Rs 4 lakh was taken illegally, out of which Rs 2 lakh was given to Pankaj Mishra.

On the other hand, about 1500 trucks of stones were sent daily from Sahibganj district to other states and other districts. For which money was taken from the truckers. Pankaj Mishra used to get a commission in this money also.

After the completion of the testimony from ED, now on Wednesday, Vinod Jaiswal will be cross-examined by the defense side i.e. Pankaj Mishra. During the testimony, advocate Pradeep Chandra was present on behalf of Special Public Prosecutor Atish Kumar and Pankaj Mishra on behalf of ED.
