Ranchi: Harish Yadav, an associate of chartered accountant Mukesh Mittal of suspended engineer Virendra Ram, arrested in the case of earning immense wealth by managing tenders and money laundering, was produced before the court in Ranchi on Thursday.
During the hearing, the ED’s advocate urged the court to allow Harish Yadav to be interrogated on remand. The court approved the remand for four days after hearing the arguments of Special Public Prosecutor Shiv Kumar alias Kaka ji, present on behalf of ED.
On June 24, the ED arrested three associates of the suspended Chief Engineer of the Rural Works Department, Virendra Ram, in the tender commission case. The names of the arrested accused included Tara Chand, Neeraj Mittal and Ram Prakash Bhatia. Tara Chand, Neeraj Mittal and Ram Prakash Bhatia were involved in spending the black money of Virendra Ram. These three used to help him in spending his black money.
Neeraj Mittal used to transfer Virendra Ram’s black money through three fake companies to the accounts of Chartered Accountant Mukesh Mittal’s employees and relatives. Ram Prakash Bhatia was involved in making fake bills and depositing black money in accounts.
