Ranchi: ED has raided 17 places in Jharkhand. Among these, raids have been conducted at the residence of Barkagaon MLA Amba Prasad in Dhurwa, Ranchi. The team has also reached his residence in Barkagaon. This raid is said to be related to several cases.
ED raid is also going on at the house of Shashibhushan Singh, who was CO of Hazaribagh Sadar, on Hawaii Nagar Road No. 5 in Birsa Chowk, Ranchi. Rs 20 lakh cash being found in the house, but this has not been confirmed.
At present Shashi Bhushan Singh is the CO of Govindpur. Besides, action has also been taken against the locations of close relatives of MLA Amba Prasad in Hazaribagh. This includes six hideouts of Uncle Dhirendra Saav, close aide Rajendra Saav and Raju Saav.
A money laundering complaint was filed against the Congress MLA at the Ranchi zonal office of ED in 2023. Based on the complaint, an ED Deputy Director level officer had sought information from Jharkhand Police about all the FIRs registered against him. Raids are going on at five locations in Hazaribagh.
ED has even seized the mobile phones of Amba Prasad’s relatives and friends. The Enforcement Directorate team reached the house of Hudhudu MLA Amba Prasad at 1 o’clock in the night. ED has raided the houses of more than half a dozen relatives of Amba Prasad. Along with this, ED has also taken action against Raju Saav’s residence in Keredari.
ED has raided Hazaribagh before also, but this is the first time that a public representative’s house is being raided in Hazaribagh. Shashibhushan Singh was Circle Inspector in Church, Hazaribagh, after promotion he became Circle Officer. Then he was working as Circle Officer in Katkamdag and Hazaribagh Sadar of Hazaribagh. During this period there were allegations of corruption.
Instead of taking action, he was made the Circle Officer of Govindpur, Dhanbad. Many supporters have reached Amba Prasad’s residence but CRPF has cordoned off the entire house and no one is being allowed inside. MLA Amba Prasad’s father and former minister Yogendra Saav is also in the house. No one is being allowed to go out. It is being told that a 10 to 12 member ED team has knocked at every location. Her various documents are being scrutinized as well as his property is also being examined.
ED raid is also going on in the house of well-known coal businessman Rajendra Sahu located in Khajanchi Pond. Earlier too there had been an Income Tax raid here, which lasted for about three days.
