ED produced former CM Hemant Soren at PMLA Court in Ranchi

Ranchi:  The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team took former Chief Minister Hemant Soren to the civil court, where he was presented in the PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) Court in Ranchi on Thursday.

ED has requested the court to give ten days’ time for interrogation.

The court campus has been converted into a cantonment. SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha said that security is tight in the entire city.

1800 soldiers and 200 officers have been deployed. So that no untoward incident happens.

It is being continuously monitored.

Besides, continuous patrolling is also being done.

DC Rahul Kumar Sinha said that magistrates have been deployed at 150 places.

ED had arrested Hemant Soren late night on Wednesday after 7 hours of interrogation in the land scam case.

After this he went to Raj Bhavan and submitted his resignation.
