Ranchi: The meeting of the Eastern Regional Police Coordination Committee is being held on Friday under the chairmanship of Jharkhand DGP Ajay Singh. Along with Jharkhand, police officers from Bihar, Bengal, Odisha and Chhattisgarh participated in this meeting held at Jharkhand Police Headquarters.
During this, issues like Naxal, cybercrime, narcotics and smuggling were discussed. Discussions are also being held on how to increase mutual cooperation on these issues.
During the meeting, strategies are being made on everything from Naxalite operations to cyber crimes and real-time sharing of intelligence information. IB Joint Director level officers also participated in the meeting.
A strategy will also discussed to stop the narcotics trade, smuggling and illicit liquor trade in the border areas. A coordination committee will be formed at the state level. Apart from this, a policy will also be made on running joint campaigns to prevent other crimes.
