Early recruitment on vacant posts is priority for state government: Hemant Soren

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has directed the officials of the Home Department, School Education and Literacy Department and Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department to expedite the process of recruitment to the vacant posts. The Chief Minister said that the requisition should be sent to the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) within a month for removing all the hurdles in the appointment rules in these three departments.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government was committed to filling up all the departmental vacancies expeditiously. He directed the officials to try to publish the advertisement by removing all the discrepancies related to the appointment rules and roster for this purpose as soon as possible for the selection of vacant posts in the departments.

During a high-level meeting over the issue at the project building here the departmental officers placed detailed information about the vacancies of various categories in front of the Chief Minister. Information about 13,473 vacancies of the Home Department, 38,000 of the School Education and Literacy Department and 4051 vacancies of different categories of the Forest Department was given to the Chief Minister.

Regarding these vacancies, the Chief Minister directed the officials to expedite the recruitment process for all these posts at the earliest. The Chief Minister said that with the start of the appointment, maximum opportunities would be given to the youth of the state and the vacant posts in the concerned departments would be filled immediately.

Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Principal Secretary Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department L Khyangte, DGP Neeraj Sinha, Principal Secretary Home Department Rajiv Arun Ekka, Principal Secretary Personnel Department Vandana Dadel, Finance Department, Principal Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Secretary, School Education and Literacy Department Rajesh Sharma, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest AK Rastogi, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Sanjay Shrivastava and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
