Durga Soren’s statue unveiled, Champai Soren roared

Ranchi: The life-size statue of Durga Soren was unveiled by Tribal Welfare Minister Champai Soren in Lowadih, Namkum on Sunday. The 55th birth anniversary celebration of Durga Soren was organized under the banner of the Durga Soren Memorial Committee. Welfare Minister Champai Soren, who was the chief guest in the program, said that Durga Soren, who followed the path of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, is not among us today. But Durga Soren grew up basking in the fire of Shibu Soren.

He played an important role in the Jharkhand movement. He was a symbol of honor and rights of Jharkhandis. His absence is felt today. The work which the opposition could not do in 18-20 years. Our Chief Minister Hemant Soren is doing all that work. BJP people are not able to digest the work of our government.

All the time they are trying to destabilize and topple our government. But we and our workers are people following the path of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren and Durga Soren. We will neither be afraid nor run away. If necessary, we will again take out our bow and arrows and set out.

Durga Soren’s wife and Nala MLA Sita Soren said that this work should have been done long ago, but we did not have a government at that time. Today, courtesy of Chief Minister and Urban Development Minister Hemant Soren, a life-size statue of Durga Soren has been installed. This is a matter of great joy. Hemant could not attend the G-20 meeting. But JMM workers will never forget his contribution and the contribution of the memorial committee.

He said that today our government is doing everything for the development of Jharkhandis. But BJP people are troubling our government. Therefore, the organization will have to be strengthened and the government will also have to be saved. Will have to move in coordination. The entire responsibility is on us. He said that in the coming 2024, our government will be formed here again and the government will also be formed in Delhi under the leadership of India Alliance.

On this occasion, MP Mahua Manjhi, Vijay Hansda, Party General Secretary Vinod Kumar Pandey, Congress MLA Rajesh Kachhap etc. expressed their views. Durga Soren Memorial Committee Chairman Billiam Richard Lakra, Antu Tirkey, Kiran Bhaura, Mushtaq Ahmed, Hemlal Mehta, Mantu Lala, Viru Sahu, Shant Tirkey, Sunita Linda, Seema Lakra, Ashrita Gudiya and many others were present.
